Job Summary

GFL Environmental is seeking a skilled Hydrovac Operator to support our Commercial lines of business at our Bradford site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Vacuum/Hydrovac Truck to perform various tasks.
  • Drive and operate Box Truck or Tractor Trailer as required.
  • Conduct power washing and high-pressure water blasting operations.
  • Perform line snaking, drain, and pipe inspections as needed.
  • Operate a variety of equipment, including pick-up trucks, utility trailers, forklifts, excavators, and bobcats.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of tools and equipment, as well as the Industrial Services Shop.
  • Conduct industrial cleaning of chemical non-hazardous and hazardous waste.
  • Collect hazardous and non-hazardous goods.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and government documents.
  • Dig holes and trenches.
  • Secure open excavation sites.
  • Operate equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare and clean up work sites as directed.
  • Securely load and unload vehicles with supplies.
  • Set up and secure work areas, including traffic control.
Requirements
  • Valid DZ or AZ license.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance.
  • Comfortable working 80% labour and 20% driving.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to lift 75+ lbs required.
  • Will be required to work both indoors and outdoors.
Working Conditions

Working hours will be around 5:30 AM - 6:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with on-call requirements once every few months on Saturday.
