Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain information systems database and quality of reporting for all clinic activity.
  • Ensure appropriate data is captured for program development, internal performance measures, and external reporting to the Ministry and OBN.
  • Extracts data from multiple sources including patient referrals, and other internal systems to record and track quality indicators required for mandated reporting.
  • Develops and maintains database to ensure continuity across reporting systems.
  • Analyzes data for reports and identifies trends and discrepancies; advises internal team and physicians on potential causes of trends and/or discrepancies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics or social sciences with specific training in statistical software packages is required.
  • 1 to 3 years related experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in software applications and reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy and to work independently.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, problem solving and conflict resolution skills with a strong customer service orientation.
About the Role:

This role is responsible for ensuring timely data extraction, quality review, and analysis of data to report to OBN, Ministry, and departmental requirements. The Statistical Analyst's analysis of trends and discrepancies influences and informs decision making of the physicians in the development and completion of quality initiatives and clinical research projects.

Salary and Benefits:

We are offering a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
