About the Opportunity

The Care Team Assistant plays a vital role in providing direct, hands-on care to patients based on their needs and program/unit requirements. As a member of the collaborative care team, this role is responsible for supporting patients' activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living. The Care Team Assistant also reinforces patient and family teaching according to established guidelines and the plan of care.

About You

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Continuing Care Assistant Program certification
  • Provincial certification with the Department of Health and Wellness
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification
  • Effective listening and communication skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Where there are no applicants with provincial certification, the employer may consider candidates who are eligible to write the CCA knowledge exam and obtain certification within 1 year from their date of hire.

Hours
  • Full Time, Long Assignment; 75 hours bi-weekly
  • Approximate one year assignment
Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate of $23.71 - $25.70 and may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
