Job Title: Care Team Assistant

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Care Team Assistant to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our care team, you will provide direct, hands-on care to patients and support their activities of daily living.

About the Opportunity:

  • Reporting to the Health Services Manager, you will work under the supervision or direction of regulated health professionals to provide direct care to patients.
  • You will support patients' activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living, reinforcing patient and family teaching according to established guidelines and the plan of care.

About You:

  • You have completed the Continuing Care Assistant Program and hold Provincial Certification with the Department of Health and Wellness.
  • You possess current Basic Life Support Certification and demonstrate effective listening skills, communicating effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset.

Hours:

  • Full Time, Long Assignment; 75 hours bi-weekly
  • Approximate one year assignment

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $25.70 hourly
  • Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
