About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Excellence Specialist to join our team at Johnson Controls. As a key member of our Data Center Solutions group, you will play a crucial role in driving our Lean transformation strategy across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular Gemba walks and Kaizen events to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and waste reduction on the shop floor.
  • Lead and execute large-scale Lean initiatives to optimize organizational performance, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
  • Develop and implement action plans for process improvements, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution.
  • Implement suggestion systems and other mechanisms to encourage employee participation and engagement in the continuous improvement process.
  • Drive the implementation of process improvement as part of our Johnson Controls Management System (JCMS), ensuring its integration and alignment vertically and horizontally across the organization.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in Lean and Continuous Improvement, including a track record of successful project delivery and organizational transformation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Lean methodologies and tools, such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kanban, Standardized Work, Leader Standard Work, etc.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement methodologies and tools, such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and initiatives.
  • Strong project management skills and experience leading large-scale Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
