We are seeking a highly skilled Scientific Liaison Specialist to join our team at Abbott Diabetes Care. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about diabetes management and wants to make a difference in people's lives.
Job Overview
The Scientific Liaison Specialist will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders in the field of diabetes. You will work closely with our commercial team to provide medical and scientific expertise to support the development and launch of our products.
Main Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders in the field of diabetes, including healthcare providers and researchers.
- Provide medical and scientific expertise to support the development and launch of our products.
- Work closely with our commercial team to develop and implement strategies to support product sales and growth.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge on diabetes management and treatment options, including new and emerging therapies.
- Develop and deliver presentations to healthcare providers and other stakeholders on the benefits and features of our products.
- Participate in market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the diabetes market.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement marketing materials and campaigns.
- Ensure that all activities and interactions are conducted with due regard to all applicable local and national laws, regulations, guidelines, codes of conduct, company policies and accepted standards of best practice.
Requirements
- Degree in a life science or related field (e.g., pharmacy, medicine).
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, preferably in a similar role.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare providers.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong understanding of diabetes management and treatment options, including new and emerging therapies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
