Job Title: FRENCH LTO

We are seeking a qualified French Language Teacher to join our team at the Durham District School Board.

About the Role:

This is a long-term occasional (LTO) teaching position in a French Immersion classroom. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching French Language and Culture to students in Grade 1.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach French Language and Culture to students in Grade 1
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of all students
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
Requirements:
  • Qualifications in French as a Second Language (FSL) Part 1
  • Successful completion of the Board's written French competency test
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
