Job Summary

Metal Fabrication Specialist is a key role at MIGHTY ENVIRONMENTAL Containers Inc, responsible for fabricating and repairing metal parts and products using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in custom fabrication and be able to interpret welding process specifications.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our team. As a specialist in this field, you will be responsible for operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, reading and interpreting welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals, and processes, and examining welds to ensure they meet standards and/or specifications.

Responsibilities
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals, and processes
  • Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and/or specifications
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
  • Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines
  • Fabricate or repair metal parts and products using previously set-up welding machines
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in metal fabrication or a related field
  • Ability to interpret welding process specifications
  • Experience with custom fabrication
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
