Job Title: Business Law Instructor

Job Summary:

The Business Law Instructor will be responsible for teaching and facilitating courses to classes of international students in the Global Business Management Post-Graduate Certificate Program. The instructor will evaluate student performance relating to the curricula using a variety of assessments. The instructor will assist with activities to support student success, including student internship and job placement, industry liaison, and administrative functions were required.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and deliver curricula to international students in an instructor-led environment.
  • Teach and facilitate courses to classes of international students in the Global Business Management Post-Graduate Certificate Program.
  • Evaluate student performance relating to the curricula using a variety of assessments.
  • Assist with activities to support student success, including student internship and job placement, industry liaison, and administrative functions.

Requirements:

  • A university degree in a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Lawyer or Law Clerk is required, ideally with experience in corporate and international law.
  • Lawyers must be in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
  • A master's degree is considered an asset.
  • A degree or diploma in adult education is considered an asset.
  • Understanding of Adult Learning Principles is preferred.
  • Teaching experience is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of D2L Brightspace or another Learning Management System is considered an asset.
