Digital Communications Officer

Job Summary
The Lac La Ronge Indian Band's Education department is seeking a skilled Digital Communications Officer to join their team. As a key member of the department, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining the band's website, social media presence, and internal communication strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement digital communication strategies to engage with the community and promote the band's initiatives.
- Create and maintain the band's website, including designing layouts, writing content, and integrating data from various sources.
- Manage and maintain the band's social media presence, including creating and scheduling posts, responding to comments, and analyzing engagement metrics.
- Develop and implement internal communication strategies to keep staff informed and engaged.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistency and accuracy in communication.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure the band's digital presence remains current and effective.
Requirements
- Diploma in Communications, Website Development, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in digital communications.
- Basic knowledge of search engine optimization.
- Proven working experience in web programming.
- Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, object-oriented programming, and web application development.
- Interest in the latest developments in web, news, and social media, as well as passion for the band's mandate and the issues that are important to our members.
- Flexibility and ability to multi-task with continually changing timelines and priorities.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check and Driver's Abstract upon hire.
