Inside Sales Representative

About the Role
The Inside Sales Representative will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer support and maintaining positive relationships with clients. This includes taking and processing orders, responding to customer inquiries, and ensuring customer satisfaction by anticipating their needs and proposing suitable solutions based on our product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage order entries to ensure seamless customer experience.
- Prepare daily schedules of orders and distribute them to branch warehouse staff for efficient processing.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to resolve shipping errors and discrepancies, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Address delivery-related issues, such as late shipments, shortages, and damaged products, to maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
- Prepare necessary paperwork for freight claims and arrange for appropriate credit or reshipment when necessary.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions, and process payments efficiently.
- Provide direct customer service via telephone, email, mail, over the counter, and in the showroom, addressing customer inquiries and concerns.
- Support outside sales teams by adopting internal processes to ensure customer satisfaction and drive sales growth.
- Communicate with marketing and pricing departments regarding customer pricing issues to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
- Maintain product knowledge to assist dealers with part and/or install inquiries, providing expert advice and support.
- Regularly communicate with various departments (Sales, Marketing, Allied, Accounting) via telephone, email, and MS Teams to facilitate orders for shipping and pick-up.
- Participate in local trade shows to promote our products and services.
- Process credit/invoices for customers as required, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
Requirements
- Completion of college/vocational or technical training (Grade 12 or GED as a minimum).
- Knowledge of building materials and construction techniques (1+ years).
- Computer literacy, with proficiency in using the Office Suite of products, including Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
