Health Psychology Expert for Primary Care

We are seeking an experienced Health Psychology Expert to join our team in Surrey, British Columbia. This is a full-time opportunity that requires a Ph.D. in Clinical or Counselling Psychology from a recognized educational institution.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will lead the development of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines, pathways, protocols and decision support tools for family practice patients. They will provide training and guidance to health coaches on behavioural change interventions, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy, and cognitive behavioural therapy.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise with medical and mental health providers to ensure wrap-around and comprehensive care for clients requiring a higher level of mental health assessment and treatment.
- Develop and oversee the delivery of group-based treatment programs, evaluating their effectiveness and making recommendations for program development.
- Assist with data analysis to make necessary adjustments to guidelines and pathways.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement quality assurance and research initiatives.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Ph.D. in Clinical or Counselling Psychology from a recognized educational institution.
- Registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC.
- Five (5) years recent related experience within primary care, chronic health, or related experience in health psychology, behaviour change interventions, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy, and/or cognitive behavioural therapy.
$59.10 - $73.81 per hour, based on location and experience.
