About the Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a Unit Aide to join our healthcare team.

This is a permanent full-time position requiring 75 hours bi-weekly, with possible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

As a Unit Aide, you will be responsible for ordering, stocking, and maintaining all supplies and equipment to meet the needs of patients in your designated work area.

An understanding of basic principles of infection control is essential to provide a safe environment for patients and staff.

This role also provides indirect and direct support for patient care.

We require a Grade XII graduate with previous clinic aide experience preferred.

A knowledge of medical terminology is an asset, and you must be able to establish good relationships with people.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills are also essential.

Competencies in other languages are an asset, with French preferred.

Compensation and Incentives

The hourly rate for this position is $20.13-$22.45.
