Job Title: Dispatcher, Trucks

Join ROAD HAWK TRUCKING LTD. as a Dispatcher, Trucks and take on a challenging role that requires strong organizational and communication skills. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating the activities of vehicle operators and crews, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of work activities
  • Monitor personnel workloads and locations to optimize dispatching
  • Provide critical information to vehicle operators to ensure safe and efficient transportation
  • Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders, adapting to changing circumstances as needed
  • Respond to emergency situations and coordinate responses with team members
  • Track shipments and ensure timely delivery
  • Stay up-to-date with cross-border dispatching regulations and practices
  • Process and transmit information using dispatching equipment
  • Record mileage, fuel use, repairs, and other expenses
  • Coordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment to meet customer needs
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience in trucking or logistics an asset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Physical demands of the job require attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
Work Environment:
  • Work under the supervision of a senior dispatcher or manager
  • Collaborate with a team of dispatchers and support staff
  • Use dispatch management service software, monitoring and tracking software, and other tools to perform duties
