We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Truck Dispatcher to join our team at Optimum Truck Lines Ltd.
Job Summary:The Truck Dispatcher will be responsible for ensuring the accurate completion of time sheets, payroll, and other summaries. They will also be responsible for maintaining work records and logs, monitoring personnel workloads and locations, and providing customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure accuracy of completed time sheets, payroll, and other summaries
- Maintain work records and logs
- Monitor personnel workloads and locations
- Provide customer service
- Advise vehicle operators of traffic and other problems
- Assist with maintenance of communications equipment
- Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders
- Dispatch personnel as required by emergency situations
- Follow-up on issues with work orders
- Keep track of shipments
- Maintain vehicle operator work records
- Record mileage, fuel use, repairs, and other expenses
- Respond to urgent calls from individuals who find themselves in life-threatening situations and who require assistance
- Schedule assignments and coordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment
- Ability to work independently
