Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled Executive Chef who can lead our kitchen team and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene. The successful candidate will be responsible for menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to recipe standards and presentation guidelines;
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization;
- Order supplies and equipment, maintaining accurate inventory records;
- Clean kitchen and work areas, promoting a safe and healthy working environment;
- Manage kitchen operations, including staffing, scheduling, and training;
- Bachelor's degree in culinary arts or related field (or equivalent experience);
- Minimum 7 months of experience in a senior kitchen role, preferably in a South Indian cuisine restaurant;
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with ability to motivate and train staff;
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills, with attention to detail and ability to multitask;
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation procedures;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines;
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends;
The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications.
