About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aerodrome Operations Manager to join our team at Société de développement de la Baie-James. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our airport facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and Improve Operations: Conduct regular evaluations of our airport facilities and operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Customer Focus: Identify and meet the needs of our customers, including airlines, passengers, and other stakeholders.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present reports and statistics related to airport operations, including financial performance, customer satisfaction, and operational metrics.
  • Staff Supervision: Hire, train, and supervise a team of staff to ensure that airport operations are carried out safely and efficiently.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory of airport equipment and supplies.
  • Security and Safety: Ensure that airport security and safety protocols are in place and followed, including airport security clearance and basic security clearance.
  • Transportation and Travel: Ensure that airport transportation and travel arrangements are made and coordinated as needed.
  • Work Environment: Ensure that the airport work environment is safe and healthy, including maintaining a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in airport operations or a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and ability to supervise and train staff.
  • Computer and Technology: Proficient in MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Word, and ability to use the internet.
  • Security and Safety: Airport security clearance, basic security clearance, and ability to pass a criminal record check and driving record check.
  • Transportation and Travel: Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly.
