About the Role:

This Heavy Duty Truck Maintenance Specialist position requires a meticulous individual with expertise in diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain vehicles to the highest safety standards, ensuring smooth operation and minimizing downtime.
  • Diagnostics: Utilize advanced tools to identify engine, transmission, brake, steering system, and electrical component problems.
  • Repair and Replacement: Replace defective parts as needed to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
  • Electrical and Hydraulic System Repairs: Troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, lighting systems, and hydraulic systems for proper functionality.
  • Vehicle Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections to detect wear, damage, or potential issues.
  • Safety Protocols: Adhere to strict safety regulations when performing repairs and maintenance.
  • Collaboration: Provide technical guidance to junior mechanics and apprentices, sharing knowledge and expertise.

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Proven experience as a Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic or similar position, with a strong understanding of truck mechanics and systems.
  • Proficiency in diagnostic tools and equipment for heavy trucks, along with extensive knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • A strong commitment to safety standards and practices.
