Payroll Administrator

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Administrator to oversee the full-cycle payroll process, including time and attendance approvals, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for all employees.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage the bi-weekly payroll process for approximately 400 salaried and hourly employees.
- Review time and attendance data using ADP Workforce Now.
- Utilize ADP Workforce Now or Ceridian software for payroll management.
- Track vacation, sick leave, and lieu days for all staff.
- Prepare labor cost reports and detailed payroll reports.
- Approve timesheets and invoices for agency staff.
- Administer the employee benefit plan with Canada Life and the company pension plan.
- Assist with new hire onboarding, orientation, and employee terminations.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in full cycle payroll, preferably using ADP Workforce Now.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment, tact, and discretion.
- Strong analytical skills with effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- PCP/CPM designation or working towards a payroll designation.
Compensation:
The estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, RRSP matching, and paid time off.
