Afternoon Shift Supervisor Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Afternoon Shift Supervisor to join our team at Osborne - Recruitment Consultancy. As a key member of our housing program, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients and ensuring the smooth operation of our 24-hour housing program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide case management expertise and support to Community Housing Workers on site
  • Prioritize and assign shift responsibilities and duties to team members
  • Ensure the safety of tenants and the building through access control, overseeing guests, and regular monitoring of life safety systems
  • Liaise with Property Management and file work orders when necessary for repairs
  • Manage employee performance and perform necessary administrative duties such as timekeeping, performance reviews, etc.
  • Be able to fulfill any element of the Community Housing Worker job description on an as needed basis
  • Be willing and able to carry a 24-hour emergency pager on rotation
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent in education and experience
  • At least 5 years' experience working with people who are homeless, under-housed, and dealing with addictions and mental illness
  • Demonstrated experience performing case management functions and ability to effectively prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Supervisory experience in a unionized setting an asset
  • Knowledge of resources and services available in the community
  • Certificates in First Aid, CPR, Crisis Prevention and Intervention an asset
  • Certificate of Completion of Homelessness Learning Hub's Harm Reduction for the Homelessness Sector considered an asset
