About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Supervisor to join our team at Swiss Chalet. As a Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service establishment, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and take corrective action when necessary to maintain high levels of quality.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and provide regular reports to management.
Work Environment

As a Shift Supervisor at Swiss Chalet, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a team of 5-10 people, including food and beverage servers, food service counter attendants and food preparers, and kitchen and food service helpers. You will be required to work under pressure and stand for extended periods.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a supervisory role
