Tolko Industries is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Superintendent to join our Lakeview Division in Williams Lake, British Columbia.
About the RoleThe Production Superintendent will be responsible for the safe and efficient planning, organizing, and operation of the plant. This includes leading a team of Shift Supervisors, ensuring they meet all expectations in leading, documenting, reporting, and troubleshooting operational events throughout the operating schedule.
Key Responsibilities- Report to the Plant Manager and be an integral part of the Lakeview Management Team.
- Be accountable for achieving targets in quality, cost control, and employee engagement.
- Lead a team of Shift Supervisors and ensure they are meeting all expectations.
- Work closely with Woodlands and Maintenance teams and other staff to ensure safety, production, and overall plant safety.
- A strong commitment to safety, quality, lumber recovery, and production.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in various areas of lumber manufacturing.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
- Experience in employee relations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data, rationalize solutions, and communicate plans.
- Experience in building and developing a positive team environment.
