Job Summary:

Oxford School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educational Program Assistant to join our team. As an Educational Program Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse needs, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment, and collaborating with educators to enhance student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with varying abilities, needs, and learning styles.
  • Assist educators with lesson planning, implementation, and assessment.
  • Help maintain a safe and organized learning environment.
  • Support students with daily living skills, such as toileting, personal care, and feeding.
  • Collaborate with educators to develop and implement behavior plans.
  • Communicate effectively with students, educators, and parents to ensure seamless support.

Requirements:

  • Valid First Aid/CPR Certification.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and perform light physical tasks.
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification.
  • Willingness to be trained in toileting, personal care, and other related areas.

Rate of Pay:

The starting annual salary for a 100% position is $35,817.70, including 4% vacation pay. Rates are based on a five-step scale with step increases occurring annually.

EPAs are paid every two weeks with the annual salary paid across 12 months (August 1st to July 31st) for working a 10-month school year. The annual salary for term positions less than a school year is pro-rated over the length of the term.

Daily Hours of Work:

50% Position = 3.5 hours (includes one 15-minute paid break)

80% Position = 6.1 hours (includes 1/2 hour unpaid lunch and two 15-minute paid breaks)

100% Position = 7.5 hours (includes 1/2 hour unpaid lunch and two 15-minute paid breaks)
