About the Role

The Educational Program Assistant will work collaboratively with educators and support staff to provide exceptional support services to students. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality support.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer an attractive compensation package, including a competitive salary range of $35,817.70 per year, based on a five-step scale with annual increases. Our benefits package includes comprehensive health and dental coverage, a defined benefit pension plan, and comprehensive sick leave benefits.

Job Description

The Educational Program Assistant will be responsible for:

  • Providing individual and group support to students in academic and social areas;
  • Assisting educators with lesson planning and implementation;
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting as required;
  • Communicating effectively with students, educators, and parents/guardians;
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A related diploma or certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution, including a formal practicum placement;
  • Valid First Aid/CPR Certification;
  • Light lifting (up to 20 pounds);
  • Trained or willing to be trained in toileting, personal care, and the use of assistive technology;
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs and abilities;
