Ferme Champ Gauche is seeking a skilled Farm Worker to join our team in the vegetable department. As a key member of our farm crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality produce is harvested and prepared for market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply the technique of hoeing between rows to maintain crop health and prevent weeds from competing with our vegetables.
  • Clean the crops to ensure they meet our high standards for quality and appearance.
  • Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots to optimize our sales and minimize waste.
  • Perform greenhouse cleaning to maintain a clean and healthy environment for our crops.
  • Guide growing shoots into optimal development positions to promote healthy growth and maximize yields.
  • Hand harvest vegetables to ensure they are picked at the peak of freshness and quality.
  • Harvest seedlings to prepare them for transplanting into our fields.
  • Mix fertilizer to provide our crops with the necessary nutrients for optimal growth.
  • Weed to prevent competition from weeds and ensure our crops receive the necessary resources.
  • Fertilize and spray crops to promote healthy growth and prevent pests and diseases.
  • Examine product for quality and its readiness for the market to ensure we are providing the best possible produce to our customers.
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license to transport equipment and supplies.
  • Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including hot temperatures.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
