Landscape Labourer Job Description

Dicam Landscaping Inc is seeking a skilled Landscape Labourer to join our team. As a key member of our landscaping crew, you will be responsible for assisting with landscape constructions, weeding, pruning, and trimming trees and plants, cutting grass, raking and collecting refuse, and performing other outdoor maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with landscape constructions, including laying sod or seed, planting bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees, and applying fertilizers.
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain a well-manicured appearance.
  • Cut grass and perform other outdoor maintenance tasks as required.
  • Rake and collect refuse, and cart and spread topsoil and other materials.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, including sprayers and dusting equipment.
  • Assist in pruning trees, shrubs, and plants, and spread sand or salt on sidewalks for snow or ice control.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with tight deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and precipitation. The work environment will be fast-paced, with tight deadlines and a high level of physical activity.
