English Language Examiner Opportunity

We are seeking experienced professionals to assess the English language proficiency of individuals in accordance with IELTS standards.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting Speaking tests, maintaining confidentiality and security protocols, and upholding the Examiner Code of Practice and IELTS Confidentiality Undertaking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Speaking tests on Saturdays, with occasional shifts on Sundays and Thursdays, and weekday testing available in some locations.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and security in all aspects of IELTS.
  • Comply fully with the Examiner Code of Practice and IELTS Confidentiality Undertaking.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • An undergraduate or Master's degree, or a qualification equivalent to an undergraduate or Master's degree.
  • A recognized qualification in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) or a recognized equivalent as part of a recognized university award course.
  • At least one year of full-time (or equivalent part-time) relevant TESOL teaching experience, with the majority of this experience relating to adult students aged 16 and over.
  • The required professional attributes and interpersonal skills.

What We Offer:

Successful applicants will be invited to examine at ILSC Toronto, followed by Examiner training after a successful interview. An estimated annual salary for this position is $70,000-$80,000 CAD, depending on location and qualifications.
