Job Title: Corporate Accounting Analyst

At Accoravillage, we are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Accounting Analyst to join our team. As a critical member of our financial reporting team, you will play a key role in producing insightful financial analysis and reporting to senior management, shareholders, and lenders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and prepare executive-level financial performance reports, presentations, and dashboards.
  • Conduct variance analysis, evaluate cost structure, identify trends, risks, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory financial statements.
  • Assist with year-end audits and provide documentation and support as needed.
  • Contribute to document accounting policies for the organization.
  • Assist with corporation taxes and insurance-related matters.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance efficiency, and strengthen internal controls, implementing best practices as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • CPA designation is a must.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in an accounting firm.
  • Bilingual (English and French) as this role requires communication with out-of-province stakeholders.
  • Strong background in accounting principles (GAAP for private enterprise), consolidation, and financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret financial data and trends effectively.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, including the ability to manage and prioritize concurrent tasks, meet deadlines, and work in an independent, flexible manner where required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with a broad range of stakeholders (both internal and external) both in the provision of information, support, and advice.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, rapidly evolving organization.
  • Self-motivated and proactive achiever able to meet deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft D365 Business experience (preferable).
