Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified Case Manager to join our team at Animikii Ozoson Child Family Services.

This role involves providing case management and case planning to help families maintain children in their own homes, while also providing child placement services for children in need of alternate care.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Indigenous approaches in working with families and children, and be able to work collaboratively with other team members, community services, and CFS agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and investigate complaints of neglect or abuse where children are at risk and in need of protection.
  • Provide case management and case planning to help families maintain children in their own homes.
  • Provide child placement services for children in need of alternate care.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members, community services, and CFS agencies to build a network of Indigenous family support services.
  • Complete all file recording, record keeping, and other required administrative duties.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Social Work (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered).
  • Minimum of one-year direct experience in a mandated child and family agency.
  • Eligibility for registration with the Manitoba College of Social Workers.
  • Knowledge of, and ability to apply, Indigenous approaches in working with families and children.
