Job Overview

The NBA is committed to creating a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. To achieve this goal, our team in New York and New Jersey offices requires all onsite employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

This role will provide day-to-day community management of the NBA Canada's social channels, including Instagram, Threads, Facebook, X, TikTok, and YouTube. The successful candidate must have experience working with these platforms and be able to create engaging content that appeals to new, casual, and hardcore fans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Publish high-quality content across the NBA Canada social accounts.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing & Fan Engagement team to develop a comprehensive social content strategy tailored to the Canadian market.
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly social media content calendars.
  • Develop regular social reports providing insights based on platform/content trends.
  • Ensure the NBA brand is protected and the voice of the accounts is 100% positive, authentic to the NBA, and promotes inclusion.
  • Closely monitor all social media activity relating to the NBA, its teams, players, and staff.
Requirements
  • Expert knowledge of the NBA and basketball.
  • Experience as an admin user of major social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok).
  • Strong coordination skills, with experience managing large-scale content plans and schedules.
  • Strong creative approach, including the ability to consistently develop new ideas.
  • Good judgment, as you will be representing the voice of the NBA.
  • Grasp of analytics tools and data – understanding the significance of the data and how to respond to it.
  • Proficient in using photo manipulation software and video editing tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team and highly organized with attention to detail.
Compensation

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to your base salary, you may also be eligible for benefits such as health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
