About the Role:The Senior Vice President, Operations, National Accounts will be responsible for:
- Developing and executing a comprehensive business plan for the National Accounts Business Unit, including strategic initiatives and tactical deliverables;
- Working closely with the Business Development team to deliver a detailed strategic sales plan and drive business growth through a comprehensive sales and marketing program;
- Setting performance metrics and targets to drive growth and service excellence;
- Continually evaluating market conditions and building a network of industry contacts to drive organic growth and strategic acquisitions;
- Solidifying a strong and empowered management team and account teams that drive change and accountability throughout the organization;
- Establishing and maintaining a culture that is focused on quality, professionalism, and customer responsiveness;
- Monitoring and maintaining internal control mechanisms to ensure effective operations and resource management;
- Reviewing and reporting on operating and financial objectives, and developing annual forecasts and budgets;
- Working with Corporate IT to ensure the business unit has the necessary technology to drive business results;
- Developing and executing a Human Resources plan to ensure successful team building, management succession, and employee development.
We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled individual with a strong background in the insurance industry, preferably with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a general management capacity, leading teams in a client-servicing environment. You will have a university degree in a business discipline and an extensive network of industry-related contacts. You will be a strong leader with excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills, and be able to establish senior client relationships. Previous experience with acquisitions is a distinct asset.
You will be comfortable executing strategy in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment, and will be analytical, decisive, and growth-oriented. You will display considerable confidence and credibility in managing and building high-performing teams and leading others.
