About the Role
Cascades is seeking an experienced Industrial Mechanic to join our Candiac unit. As an Industrial Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing non-interruptible corrective work on running and scheduled shutdown machines in the plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment
- Manufacture required parts and components
- Participate in scheduled machine shutdowns and perform all other tasks related to the position
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects
- Carry out welding work and other tasks as required
Requirements
- Hold a DEP in industrial mechanics and/or a DEC in mechanical engineering or industrial mechanics
- Have over 3 years of experience in an industrial environment
- Experience in machining is an asset
- Ability to work independently or in a team
- Focus on health and safety in the workplace
- Proficient in French
