Chef de Partie Role Overview
At CB Canada, we're currently seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to join our Culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you'll be responsible for executing menu item production, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and contributing to a positive, inclusive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, pre-cook, cook, and present menu items in a timely manner, adhering to standardized recipes
- Collaborate with Sous Chef/Kitchen Manager/F & B Manager to submit food product requirements for purchasing
- Prepare mis en place and other products for high-volume production
- Support Commis and Demi Chefs with product receipts, breakdown, storage, and rotation
- Clean culinary equipment after use and/or remove soiled equipment to the dish pit
- Participate in month-end inventories as directed
- Attend monthly culinary meetings
- Liaise and communicate effectively with operational departments
- Develop strong working relationships with stakeholders, including guests, ownership, and employees
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of progressive culinary experience
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience
- High School Diploma
- Culinary education a plus
- RED SEAL certification through ITA, current enrollment in the program, or equivalent a plus
- Level 1 FoodSafe, Safe Food Handling, or BASICS.fst Food Handler Certificate; MSDS; WHMIS
- Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective, and service-oriented communication
- A commitment to continually increase knowledge of our products and services to offer exceptional experiences
