We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Worker to join our team at Yellow Brick Road Management Inc. This is a permanent position with a 40-hour workweek, requiring English language proficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Make contact with tradespersons for major repairs and perform minor repairs on appliances.
- Conduct safety and security checks, and move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies.
- Support newcomers and refugees by providing diversity and cross-cultural trainings, and offering mentorship and coaching opportunities.
- Offer cultural competency training and awareness to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience.
This is a permanent position with a 40-hour workweek, requiring English language proficiency.
