Job Title: Daycare Worker

Grandma Gooch Daycare Inc is seeking a qualified Daycare Worker to join our team. As a Daycare Worker, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to grow and develop.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess children's development and create personalized learning plans to support their growth.
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, ensuring their physical needs are met.
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, singing, and crafts to stimulate their creativity and imagination.
  • Guide children in developing good eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and report to parents or supervisors.
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss children's progress and problems.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • 1-7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Knowledge of licensing regulations.
  • Punctuality, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, and reliability.
Working Conditions:
  • 40 hours per week.
  • Work Language: English.
