Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead our quality team and ensure the highest standards of product quality and food safety. As a key member of our Leadership Team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our quality management system, managing laboratory operations, and improving health and safety performance.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Quality Management System: Develop, implement, and maintain our Quality Management System (PQMS) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Manage Laboratory Operations: Oversee laboratory activities, including chemical, microbiological, and environmental analysis, to ensure accurate results and timely reporting.
  • Improve Health and Safety Performance: Provide leadership to improve health and safety performance by identifying hazards, implementing controls, training, and auditing.
  • Supervise Quality Staff: Lead and develop a high-performing quality team, providing work direction, performance feedback, and recommendations for training and development.
  • Manage Budget and Cost: Monitor budgetary performance, manage cost of poor quality, and optimize First Pass measures.
  • Collaborate with Production and Engineering: Work with production and engineering teams to introduce new technology and improve product quality specifications and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: Science or Engineering degree preferred.
  • Experience: 3-5 years' experience in plant production or quality supervision.
  • Knowledge: Quality Assurance programs such as GMP, HACCP, and ISO.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong team facilitation and leadership skills with a commitment to team development.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
