About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Continuing Care Assistant to join our team at Orchard Court in Kentville, Nova Scotia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and mobilizing
  • Collaborate with the resident and interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans
  • Plan and implement resident leisure activities
  • Perform delegated nursing acts according to company policy and scope of practice
  • Communicate and report relevant information regarding resident care or safety to Supervisor
Requirements
  • Valid Continuing Care Certification or Provincial Personal Care Worker course
  • Registered in Nova Scotia's CCA registry
  • Ability to work flexible hours and shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening
  • Alzheimer's and Dementia Care course considered an asset
  • Previous working experience with elderly in long-term care or senior living environment an asset
  • Valid CPR & First Aid Certification preferred
