General Labourer Position

Job Summary:

Koch-Glitsch is seeking a skilled General Labourer to join our team in Uxbridge, Ontario. As a General Labourer, you will be responsible for performing various tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Embody Koch MBM Guiding Principles and EH&S compliance requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts and defect reduction initiatives
  • Support our proactive safety culture
  • Operate various machines, including brake press, shears, punch press, spot welder, and bandsaws
  • Perform maintenance and daily cleaning of equipment
  • Monitor machine output to ensure accurate and quality parts
  • Work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to handle materials and parts up to 50lbs
  • Operate lifting equipment, such as overhead crane and forklift

Requirements:

  • Ability to safely operate lifting equipment
  • Basic math skills and ability to use a tape measure
  • Ability to work overtime as required
  • Ability to handle materials and parts up to 50lbs
  • Good English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a sheet metal fabrication setting
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawing specifications
  • Experience in setting up tooling
  • Previous experience using brake press, shears, punch press, spot welder, or bandsaw
  • Valid driver's license
