Welcome to Southbridge Care Homes, a leading provider of long-term care services in Southwestern Ontario. We are seeking an experienced Environmental Services Manager to join our team at our Port Perry location.
Job SummaryThe Environmental Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our facility, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our residents and staff. This role requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement maintenance and upkeep schedules to ensure the facility remains in good condition.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance staff, including housekeeping and laundry services.
- Manage budgets and inventory for maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and high-quality services.
- Diploma or degree in Environmental Services, Building Services Management, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role, preferably in a long-term care setting.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, and heating and ventilation systems.
- Experience with budgeting and inventory management.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
