Family Law Clerk Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Family Law Clerk to join our team at GPAC. As a Family Law Clerk, you will be responsible for managing assigned caseloads, drafting and responding to correspondence, and preparing pleadings, financial disclosures, mediation, and trial briefs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned caseloads and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Draft and respond to correspondence, including letters and emails
  • Prepare pleadings, financial disclosures, mediation, and trial briefs
  • Tele and in-person contact with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts
  • Prepare witness questions for evidentiary hearings, depositions, and trials
  • Assist supervising lawyers in all phases of the practice

Qualifications:

  • 2-3+ years of experience as a Family Law Clerk
  • Empathetic and level-headed demeanor to handle sensitive family law matters
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills
