Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Worker is a key member of our community team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities- Perform regular maintenance, repairs, and building improvements to ensure the safety and security of residents, staff, and visitors.
- Inspect and diagnose malfunctions in equipment, recommending replacements or upgrades as needed.
- Schedule and supervise service work in the absence of the Maintenance Manager.
- Complete general repairs to electrical, plumbing, and other building components, utilizing knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Be available for emergency call-ins and maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Minimum 1 year of work experience in building or community maintenance.
- Knowledge of and capability to complete tasks relating to general painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, heating systems, and gardening.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Basic level of computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office and maintenance software.
- Ability to prioritize and organize schedule of maintenance and workload planning.
- Ability to communicate professionally with residents, staff, visitors, and contractors.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions with minimal supervision.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently and understand verbal and written instructions.
