Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Food Service Attendant to join our team at DPG FOOD SERVICES INC O/A SUBWAY. As a key member of our food preparation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs to maintain a clean and safe environment for our customers.
  • Load buspans and trays with food and supplies, and place dishes in storage areas.
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, adhering to our high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Keep accurate records of food quantities used, ensuring that we maintain efficient inventory levels.
  • Package take-out food and prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to meet customer demands.
  • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, providing exceptional service and ensuring that their needs are met.
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars, maintaining a well-stocked and organized kitchen environment.
  • Take customer orders, using your excellent communication skills to ensure that their needs are understood.
  • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs, adhering to our high standards of food safety and quality.
  • Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Handle and store cleaning products, adhering to our strict safety protocols.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, ensuring that our inventory levels are maintained.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, maintaining a clean and safe environment for our customers and staff.
  • Sharpen kitchen knives, ensuring that our kitchen equipment is well-maintained and in good working order.
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, maintaining a clean and safe environment for our customers and staff.
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit, adhering to our high standards of food safety and quality.

Requirements:

  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Will train on the job, providing you with the skills and knowledge you need to succeed.
  • English is the primary language spoken in this role.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
