About the Role
The Greater Toronto Airports Authority is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Airport Operations Manager, Baggage Services. This is a key leadership role that requires a strong understanding of airport operations, logistics, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of baggage services, ensuring seamless and efficient processing of baggage.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve baggage handling and reduce delays.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including airport operations, customer service, and maintenance teams, to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Monitor and analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize baggage handling processes.
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including airlines, ground handlers, and logistics providers.
- Ensure compliance with airport regulations, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field, such as business, logistics, or operations management.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in airport operations, logistics, or a related field.
- Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in leading teams and developing strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Valid Ontario G Driver's License and ability to obtain a D/A AVOP (Airside Drivers license) within 60 days.
- Transportation Security Clearance at the designated level for the position.
