Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to join our team at PlayStation. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Game Director and our Game Design team to deliver industry-leading PVE Systems to our players.
  • Lead the delivery of highly engaging AI Systems, Security Systems ingredients, and Level Design setups.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of a multi-disciplinary team in an agile environment while keeping a watchful eye on team health and development status.
  • Break down complex deliverables, create/manage project roadmap, and keep stakeholders informed, aware of risks, and trade-offs.
  • Coordinate dependencies, assign individual responsibilities to team members, and drive decisions around priorities that come in conflict with project deliverables.
  • Plan deliverables with project Leads and Directors, validate feasibility, and drive development through the project's entire lifecycle.
  • Participate in the recruitment process; conduct interviews, evaluate candidates' skills, experience, and compatibility with team and organization culture.

Requirements

  • Experience in similar management positions such as Producer, Associate Producer, Production Manager, Development Director, or other relevant position.
  • Deep understanding of development methodologies, best practices, production life cycle, tools, and processes.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage complex operational issues.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with a proven ability to recruit, grow, guide, empower, and motivate a highly functioning production team in a fast-paced changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Great interpersonal communication skills with an ability to successfully partner across and at all levels of a team and organization.
  • Experience launching and operating live service games with a solid understanding of development best practices for Games As A Service.
  • Experience managing teams in all phases of the production cycle.
  • Strong desire to find ways to optimize the game development process.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, display flexibility, and adaptability to adjust plans and strategies as new information is gained or as project conditions change.
