About the Role



Responsibilities


  • Develop and apply statistical models to analyze complex data sets and identify key insights.
  • Design and implement machine learning systems using data annotation and benchmarking techniques.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to assess AI/ML model performance and propose paths for improvement.
  • Prepare data visualizations using industry-leading tools to summarize results for stakeholders.
  • Document results and present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Develop a proposal for a capstone project that aligns with PCL's goals and objectives.
  • Engage with stakeholders to inform the capstone project and build a prototype or visualization.
  • Assess and present the results of the capstone project.


Requirements


  • Current enrollment in a postsecondary program in a quantitative field.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to quickly analyze data to identify key insights.
  • Coursework in statistics and experience with statistical programming environments.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
