At MASKEEN CONSTRUCTION LTD., we are seeking a skilled Construction Assistant to join our team. As a Construction Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting our carpentry team with various tasks, including loading and unloading construction materials, erecting and dismantling scaffolding, and mixing and pouring materials such as concrete and asphalt.

The ideal candidate will have no degree, certificate, or diploma, but will have at least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field. You will be required to work in a physically demanding environment with tight deadlines, and will need to be flexible and reliable.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials
  • Erecting and dismantling scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
  • Mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Assisting in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
  • Assisting in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
  • Leveling earth to fine grade specifications
  • Assisting in demolishing buildings
  • Cleaning up chemical spills and other contaminants
  • Removing rubble and other debris at construction sites
