About the Role

Athabasca Catering is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at our northern sites.

As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for planning and directing on-site food preparation and cooking activities, ensuring adherence to standard kitchen operating procedures for food quality.

You will also be responsible for ensuring the quality of food preparation and presentation, as well as ensuring the kitchen is compliant with regulatory requirements for food handling, sanitization, and cleanliness.

Additional responsibilities include monitoring kitchen inventory and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Possession of current Food Safe Certification
  • Possession of a Red Seal Certification is considered an asset
  • Experience with kitchen management within the service industry
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to perform duties in a safe and effective manner

What You Will Be Doing

  • Plan and direct on-site food preparation and cooking activities
  • Ensure adherence to standard kitchen operating procedures for food quality
  • Ensure the quality of food preparation and presentation
  • Ensure the kitchen is compliant with the regulatory requirements for food handling, sanitization, and cleanliness
  • Monitor kitchen inventory
  • Shifts are 14 days in and 14 days out, great team environment, extended health and dental benefits, complimentary flights, accommodations, and meals
