Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our Hospice Residence team at Ridge Meadows Hospital. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide direct nursing care to patients, assessing their physical, emotional, spiritual, and psychosocial needs, and developing and implementing care plans to meet their unique needs.
Responsibilities- Assess patients' needs and develop individualized care plans, implementing and evaluating the effectiveness of care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Act as an advocate for patients' rights, promoting autonomy, respect, privacy, dignity, and access to information.
- Document patient observations, teaching, and evaluation of care, maintaining accurate and timely records.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, identifying patient care issues and contributing to data collection, evaluation, and feedback.
- Maintain a safe environment for patients, families, and staff, adhering to established safety and emergency practices and procedures.
Graduation from an approved School of Nursing and/or Psychiatric Nursing, with two years' recent experience in medical nursing, including one year in a hospice/palliative care environment. Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
