As a key member of the Community Safety team, you will play a vital role in providing quality assurance audits of police files and identifying accurate classification of file scoring as required by the Canadian Centre for Justice Statistics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough reviews of operational police investigative files to ensure compliance with legal obligations and policy requirements.
  • Identify and address deficiencies in file scoring and provide corrective direction as needed.
  • Collaborate with the RCMP and Kelowna Regional Detachment to ensure the integrity of police investigations.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to RCMP cadets and staff on quality assurance issues.
  • Provide expert guidance on Operational Statistical Reporting (OSR) and Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) to support data-driven decision-making.
Requirements:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in RCMP databases and administrative policies and procedures.
