Design Verification Technologist

Evertz is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Design Verification Technologist to join our R&D team.

This role involves the application and verification of cutting-edge live-media routing equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for product development from systems design, product implementation, and automation design perspectives.

The selected individual will have the opportunity to work on multiple facets of broadcasting, collaborating with developers, deployment, and service engineers to solve problems in a dynamic environment that emphasizes teamwork and collaboration.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with recreating and resolving customer issues.
  • Test and validate hardware/software to ensure functionality for specific applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems.
  • Execute and improve existing test plans, focusing on automation and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including manuals and training materials.
  • Prepare and execute customer demos.
  • Perform other tasks as needed by the Product Management Team.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or advanced diploma in Electrical, Computer, or Networking Engineering/Technology.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts, Python, and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Passion for learning new technologies and software/hardware.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently, take initiative, and manage time effectively.
  • Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.
